Tired Yet?

“Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.”

Luke 4:1-2 NKJV

Think the enemy is going to give up, that he will back off and leave you alone? Think again! I have watched Olympic Athletes who have trained for years for the chance to obtain a metal. Satan has trained for years, he understands mankind, he knows the weaknesses of man. He is after our soul, the ultimate prize! Just like the Olympic Athlete who stops at nothing to gain the gold metal. Satan will stop at nothing until he gets what he is set upon, your soul. He tempted Jesus himself for forty days, coming to him at his weakest time, attempting to lure Jesus into his deceitful web of lies. We get tired, we want to give up. Just like Jesus we have to know the Word of God, we have to learn to lean into the Word. To use it to overcome the adversary, the accuser. When Jesus was tired and weak from hunger, He used the Word of God to defeat the enemy. We too have to use the Word of God when we are tired, when we feel like giving up. Times are difficult and many people feel like just giving in to the lies of the enemy, it’s in these times we have to turn to Jesus, we have to turn to the Word, and draw our strength from Him! Your soul is the ultimate prize, that is worth fighting for!
