Let it Rain!

“Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.””

Acts 14:17 NKJV

We take rain for granted until we experience a drought. Rain is vital in the area we live in, our farms need it, our creeks, lakes, rivers, and ponds need it. Our whole life system revolves around rain in our surrounding area. Our crops don’t grow if there is not enough rain, the hay fields dry up and therefore we do not have enough hay for the winter months. Everything we do revolves around an adequate amount of rain. Now there are years that too much rain comes and destroys many things. It overflows the river and lake banks, it damages homes and property leaving behind destruction with everything it touches. But according to God’s Word rain is a blessing, it is a sign of abundance. That God’s hand is upon that nation or people. Spiritually we find ourself in dry seasons as well as seasons where we have more than enough. It’s in the dry season that we beg for more and the overflow seasons where we struggle to know if we can handle more. But God is always going to supply the right amount. Our job is to walk in His will, in His blessings, to consistently be obedient to Him, in the drought and the flood. Stay faithful to where God has placed you, just like in the physical realm you will have dry and you will have floods. Praise God for all seasons!
