“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.””
Galatians 2:20-21 NKJV
We like the saying, “Jesus Changes Everything”. But do we believe it, do we submit to it? Are we truly willing to let Him change us into His image, into His likeness? We like to think that once we have Jesus we will just use him to cover the things in our life. But He did not come to cover, He came to get rid of the sin and excuses in our life. He came to truly change everything, not to make us a robot, but to bring out that which He put in us. Our prideful, sinful, nature does not like to be told what to do or how to do it. We like to tell people and God, this is just the way we are, or my favorite, I was born like this. No you were born into a sinful, evil world that has made you that way. We truly love our pride, we want Jesus but we want our sinful nature too. We want to be able to do what we want and still say that we are saved, that we belong to Him. If we belong to Jesus, then we will have the same traits He does. We will not have to make excuses for the things we do. If we are truly who we say we are, then we will allow Him to change everything. That He will deal with every details in our life. From our negative attitude, to our bitterness, to our jealousy, our bad habit of comparison, and every other flaw we love to hang on to. If we truly believe that Jesus changes everything, then why aren’t we letting Him change every part of us, from our head to our toes, make us more like you Jesus!
