Identity Theft

“Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:38-39 NKJV

The thought of someone taking over our identity, setting up accounts in our name, destroying everything you have worked for, charging things under your name and basically claiming to be you, only leaving you with the destroyed life and debt that you did not incur. Not what anyone wants to deal with. But what about your spiritual identity? We are constantly allowing the enemy to lie to us, to destroy relationships, and our life with his deceit. He tells us we are not worthy, not loved, not needed, and the list goes on and on. But just like the person who steals a persons identity online, Satan also steals our identity by making us think that who we are is not important. But God sees you as so important that He makes sure that your name is written down in the book of life as His child. Satan only desires to destroy you, he doesn’t care about you or anyone else. Just like the online thief, they don’t care who they hurt of steal from, they only care about themselves. So take time to guard yourself not only against identity theft in the physical but also in the spiritual. Don’t draw back, don’t let the enemy steal or destroy who God has said you are, remind the enemy of what God has said about you, remind him your soul belongs to Jesus.
