“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
Romans 8:26-27 NKJV
Walking past a window in town I was drawn to a shiny object that was displayed in the store. We are drawn to signs with messages designed to grab our attention. We are drawn to look at things on our phones, computers, tv’s, etc. We are even drawn in to click on a button that tells us all about ourself. We are so busy looking for something or someone to give our attention to that we are drawn to all kinds of objects and things that divert our attention away from God. But have you ever stopped to think that the Holy Spirit is trying to draw your attention to God, and what He has for you. God wants your attention, but he wants more than just your attention He wants your worship and your obedience. He searches our heart, he desires not only moments with His children, but quality time spent with us. He will keep drawing us to Him, time and time again. He keeps reaching out to us, He keeps pulling us back to Him. We give our attention to so many things but do we take time to give our attention, time, worship, and obedience to Jesus. Do we spend time in prayer, seeking His will? Today take time and let the Holy Spirit draw you close to the Father.
