Great Inspirations

“That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.”

1 Timothy 4:10 NIV

Every great inventor will tell you that their inspiration came out of a situation or need that they had faced or seen others face in their life. From the invention of the light bulb, Thomas Edison, tried over 1,000 times to come up with the correct design for the light bulb, each time he took what worked and what didn’t work and moved forward. By his death in 1931, he had patented 1,093 of his inventions. We often give up on dreams and ideas when they do not work out how we had envisioned. We walk away from failed projects, from things we had seen in our mind, but it somehow just did not work out how we had thought it would. Sometimes we have to go back to the drawing board, we have to stop and take time to seek God, His wisdom, His understanding, His knowledge , and He will show us how something is to work. He is the original creator, and like our creator we are often creative individuals. It has been said that we use 90% of our brain remembering and only 10% creating. Just think if we would spend more time creating and less time looking back at our mistakes how much greater our lives would be. So maybe it’s time for you to be creative, to think outside the box, to try something new, or try something again that you gave up on too soon. Whatever it is just remember God is the author of Great Inspirations and He will inspire you to do great things.
