“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalms 139:13-14 NKJV
So if 80% of the events or scenarios we create in our mind never happen, why do we live like they do? We are constantly working things out in our head, the way we think things will go, or the things we think we will say. We even have conversations with ourself thinking we are working it all out. But in reality things just don’t work out that way. We talk ourselves into thinking that no one cares, no one knows how bad you hurt, or my favorite no one wants us around. We act like we are the only one on the face of the earth and the only one in all of history that has ever experienced this very thing. And yes we may be unique but we are not alone and we certainly are not the only ones who make ourself feel this way. If no one cares than why did Christ take the time to die for you. If no one knows how bad you hurt, then why did Jesus go through all the pain and insult, the humiliation, the people who turned on him, the people who wanted him dead, those who were closest to him denying him and rejecting him. If no one wants us, then why did God allow you to be born, why did He place breath in your lungs. We are cared for, we are loved, we have a savior who can identify with your hurt and pain, and He created us with purpose in mind. You have a reason for being exactly who you are. So stop talking yourself out of being everything God has created you to be. Get out of your head and start allowing God to do the speaking instead of you. You are of value and worth, God said it, period, the end.
