Excellence struggles in Chaos

“And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

Genesis 1:29-31 NKJV

Some people thrive on chaos, they get their adrenaline rush from chaos. I can deal with chaos but it’s usually because someone didn’t do what they were supposed to do. People often wonder why things don’t go as planned and when you look around them they are surrounded by chaos. Working with a group of people recently reminded me of this, every meeting we scheduled they were late, every event that took place no one seemed to know what was going on. Every direction you turned there was chaos. No one seemed to know what was going on and they all expected that someone else was actually the one who should have taken care of that. No matter what was taking place it seemed to be done in chaos. But God is not a God of chaos. He is a God of order! And he put the earth and everything He created in motion by speaking order into it. He commanded the waters and land and everything in and around it to come into the order He spoke. God spoke order in to the life of man. But now we live and some often try to thrive in disorder. Things thrive in excellence when they are done in order, the way they were created. Everything that has life has order, and we naturally function, grow, and produce in an environment that has order. What order is God trying to bring about in your life?
