Dig a Little Deeper

“that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Colossians 2:2-3 NKJV

Treasures are never found on the surface of things, they are never easily obtained, treasures if worth anything are always buried, you always have to dig them up. It takes time and patience, it takes hunting and searching for these things, they don’t just pop up. It’s hard to see their worth and value until you have completely dug them up. It’s the same with the things in our life. Some things require that we dig a little deeper to discover what is truly there. It requires time and dedication to searching these things out. There are things that are buried in you, and only you and God can bring them out. Only God knows their true worth, and it is up to you to dig down and discover what value they truly have. And sometimes this is not shown until you dig them all the way up and get them to the surface that we see their true worth. So don’t get discouraged in the digging, don’t get impatient and give up, keep digging, keep allowing God to expose the treasure in your life. Grab a shovel and a pick and start digging. You may hit some rough places but don’t give up, just keep digging. Your buried treasure will shine in the light of God’s glory.
