Busy Schedule?

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Colossians 3:17 NKJV

Got a calendar that is running your life? Does it seem like your days are filled with events, meetings, practices, the list goes on and on. And we even fill our time with “church activities”. Because sometimes we are under the misconception that being involved in church activities makes us feel like we are saved. We think the busier we are the more important we feel. But busyness can easily replace purposefulness in our hectic lives. God has a plan and a purpose for us to fulfill, but being busy cannot be mistaken for purpose. We have to allow God to have complete control of our lives, that includes our calendar. Let Him be the one calling the shots, if your schedule is too crowded and you have too much on it, seek God, He will show you what needs to be removed, and He will give you the boldness to remove it. Better yet if it doesn’t glorify Him, or give you an opportunity to glorify Him, take it off your schedule completely. Time is that important to God, so stop wasting your time on things that do not matter, and begin to invest your time in things that are eternal. Be purposeful in your every day life!
